YEAR OF THE ASIAN READING CHALLENGE – signup + TBR + tracking post – #YARC2019

Hey lovely people,

What is this, you ask? A reading challenge. Yes, a year long reading challenge celebrating Asian authors hosted by the amazing bloggers CW, Lily, Shealea and Vicky. And your smol Asian human here had to sign up because I have an ever-growing TBR pile written by Asian authors and it’s about time I started talking about them more than I do now.

If you’re interested too, you can sign up here. You can read more about the challenge here.

Challenge Level

I wanted to aim high, but since my access to books is very limited (library and eARCs), I am aiming for an Indian Cobra which means I’m hoping to read 11-20 books by Asian authors this year. And look at how cute this Indian Cobra badge is! I know it only has two stars 😦 but I’ll pray for some miracle to make my library to get more Asian books so I can read more.

This will also be my update post

I will post updates here on which books I finish reading with reviews and aesthetics.

Review coming soon

TBR if my prayers are answered and miracles happen

That’s all for now. Till next time ❤

  1. Ooh, I really like this! Might join tonight!!

Also, great TBR list. I would add most of these to my TBR, but I have decided to be more realistic this year with the books I get too excited about. Being excited for a book that might take 3-10 years till it is sold legally over here is torture.

P.S: Pick up Girl on the Verge by Pintip Dunn ASAP. I have read and loved every single book she’s ever published.

  2. You have so many great book on your tbr! My So-Called Bollywood Life and I Believe in a Thing Called Love are also on my tbr for this challenge, I can’t wait to read them! I hope your library gets more Asian books, so you can read them! 💛
